We’re excited to welcome two new meads to the Yellow City Cider tap list: Azure and Destiny from Happy Half-Orc Meadery.

Based in Amarillo, Texas, Happy Half-Orc Meadery is a family-owned and operated business specializing in small-batch meads made with pure honey and natural ingredients. The team combines old-world techniques with a modern, adventurous approach, handling each step—from fermentation and bottling to labeling—by hand.

Their goal is to make honey wine that is approachable, flavorful and fun to explore, whether you’re a longtime mead enthusiast or trying it for the first time.

Azure — Blueberry Mead

Bright, fruity and beautifully balanced, Azure is a semi-sweet mead crafted with ripe blueberries and rich, floral honey. It has a smooth mouthfeel with a balance of crisp and rich flavors, followed by a refreshing berry finish.

Destiny — Spiced Mead

Inspired by a 15th-century recipe, Destiny is a semi-sweet mead infused with cinnamon, clove, star anise and orange peel. Floral honey creates a smooth foundation, while warming spices and bright citrus bring depth and a crisp, invigorating finish.
